Yep, we're back again. New Year's Eve was a great gig, good to see so many there from our normal crowd (using the term 'normal' very loosely). Gav enjoyed using his beer straw (no, he's not sucking the mic in the photo, or anything else). We're looking forward to playing in Chichester again for another great night. Got another one of our own songs to add into the set and also a couple of new covers so come along for another beer and music night at The Hole!

Saturday 6th March 2010

Well, what a night this turned out to be. 12 string guitar jack died. Gav broke a string on his Taylor and then his back up guitar wouldn't work properly. So we had to make up versions on the fly of all our set (and some songs originally not in it) with only one guitar between us. Plus both of us down with the lurgy. And still we managed to have a great night of live acoustic music (very nearly completely acoustic!).

Thanks to everyone who was there, hope you enjoyed it – was raucous as ever! – we're going to fix out guitars and then head off to Pompey next on the 20th March at The Bridge Tavern. We're back in Chichester at The Hole on 24th April.

It’s been an interesting start to the year with this Siberian weather. But don't panic, if you’ve had enough of the cold, and you're not house bound, you can join us to rock away those winter blues (or just get pissed as normal of course).

We’re back in Chichester with a series of gigs over the next few months at The Hole In Wall, the first on Saturday 23rd January with others 6th March and 24th April. Same banter. Same blokes. Same sh... hits. Probably the same songs. Well, maybe. Look forward to seeing you there.

smoothmonkey are back in Chichester at The Hole In The Wall on Saturday 5th December 2009 for another night of lively acoustic music – with a healthy helping of beer of course.

We’ll be playing a few more of our own songs as well this time following the good reponse to them after our Oxjam Chichester gigs alongside our huge range of popular covers. All with our own acoustic twist.

We know it’s been a while, but smoothmonkey are back and will be performing live on 26th September 2009 at The Hole In The Wall, Chichester, West Sussex.

A popular, traditional style pub in the centre of Chichester, this will be a great evening of good beer and live music so hope to see everyone there.
